Cordillera – World’s biggest TV documentary History Channel featured the
Igorot iconic headhunting axe on its program Forged in Fire.
Forged in Fire is an American competition series that features bladesmiths
compete in a three-round elimination contest to forge bladed weapons, with
the overall winner receiving $10,000 and the show’s championship title
“Forged in Fire Champion”.

Season 8 of the Forged in Fire which was aired on February 19, 2021,
features two bladesmiths compete in forging one of Igorot weapon used in
headhunting.
The headhunting axe also known as battle axe is used by the Igorot warriors
not only for headhunting purposes by also for carving wood to make things
like furniture, statues and even houses.
